Last week, church was canceled, so I went out and found a quiet, peaceful street that I wandered down for a long time, stopping to take some random pics along the way. This is by far my favorite:

The way the ivy caught the snow was gorgeous!
This house was the most fun. I love the trees around the entrance and the way the door is framed. Also, can you see the pineapple over the door?

I'm not really sure what the pineapple means... I know there's a pineapple in the giant arch over a major street in the Italian district. Anyone care to offer insights on the deeper meanings of pineapples?
Church was canceled again today, so I spent the morning reading and then... did some more walking!
I know the kids that go here probably don't love it, but the high school nearby is a beautiful old building, and the snow was a good look for it.

And then there was this one. Notice a trend? I love the snow-covered trees around the entrance. I'll have to remember that when I'm finally looking for a house. :)

And to top off our afternoon, we made snow angels.

Which I think is super fun.

Anish, however, was not smiling. Maybe because I only gave him 2 seconds to react when I said, "Let's take a picture! Smile!..."

It was a lovely afternoon! Walks with friends are great for thinking through life out loud. :)
